Earlier today, Adelaide/Singaporean blogger Rubenerd posted one of his world-renowned Rubenerd Fun Facts. Normally these are insightful facts filled to the brim with truthiness, but today this is not so, and I’m here now to point out this gross error.
The fact the man claims is true, goes as follows:
Geese can’t play the bass guitar.
Seems correct, but in actual fact, ISN’T. Geese is the plural of goose, and therefore Rubenerd is saying that a goose can’t play bass guitar. But unbeknownst to him, there is a band called Goose, in which Dave Martijn is the bassist of. Goose are a Belgian band who started off as an AC/DC cover band but branched out and found their style in synth rock.
Therefore, it seems they CAN play bass guitar. Oh snap.
So Rubenerd, I CALL YOU OUT FOR YOUR BLATANT DISREGARD FOR FACTS ON THE INTERNET.

Good afternoon,
You sir have made a classic logic error referred to as “Non sequitur” which of course is Latin for “does not follow”, presumably to twist and distort the facts to suit your own dark, evil agenda.
In this case you took the fact widely accepted by the scientific and medical community that geese (plural) cannot play the bass guitar and incorrectly inferred therefore an individual goose (in this case a band) cannot.
I will not be filing legal action for what I’ve decided to assume is a clerical oversight on your behalf and not something malicious, but I would advise you to be more careful and check your logical arguments in the future before you inadvertently spread something libellous.
In the meantime my department stands by our published facts.
Sincerely,
Ruben Schade esq.
