I AM NOT!

by ZombieSkittles on March 27, 2009

imageOk, most people I meet think I am gay. Whether it be my voice apparently sounding gay, the way I act, or the fact I would gladly sit down for a Queer as Folk marathon (for the storyline), the vast majority of people I meet, think I like to bat for the home team. I’ve come to accept this, however, after loading up my blog five minutes ago, apparently even my WRITING comes off gay.
Anyone who has the internet eventually comes into contact with a Google Adsense ad. Google Adsense is a program that allows people to place ads on their websites and get money for every time someone interested in a product, clicks on it. The source code for the ad is designed to read the content of the website it is on, and post ads of a similar subject. It’s a great idea because people on that website are obviously after similar content, and can thus be driven to click the advertisements.
Now, I loaded up my blog and, instead of seeing the usual zombie and blog themed ads, I am confronted with an ad inviting readers to meet homosexual single people. What? Why does Google think that people that go on my website want to be hooked up with gay people? Is it because they think I’m gay? What the hell leads them to believe that?
I am going to go cry my insecurities away; maybe eat a tub of ice cream, and watch some chick flicks.
