I was sitting at my computer, semi bored, when I saw this tweet by @stilgherrian:
| “Stilgherrian Live” starts in just 17 minutes at http://stilgherrian.com/live … with plinkies commencing in 7 minutes. |
I’d heard about it, and could gather that, much like the various “famous” Youtubers that do segments on BlogTV, this would be Stilgherrian doing a “live vlog”, communicating with his readers and discussing whatever he wanted. I decided that since I had internet and time to kill, to check out his show and see what it was like. So, I followed the link to the show early, but luckily there were 40 other people on too, so I had some company while we waited for the feed to begin.
Eventually, the show started, and we were greeted by the man. What followed was a discussion mainly from Stilgherrian, with audience interaction when Stil felt it brought something to the discussion. The majority of the show was dedicated to the oh so popular topic of Australian Internet censorship, and thankfully discussed Stephen Conroy’s appearance on QandA, which I missed (also, never actually heard of the show before >_>). I was stuck on it the whole time, partly due to Stilgherrian’s interesting voice (me=not creepy), and while I wished I could of pulled away so I could write this while listening to the show, I couldn’t. Also, I finally got to find out the meaning behind his Twitter avatar.
My only disappointment is that it is normally done on a Thursday night rather than a Friday, which means apart from tonight, I most likely won’t get to see the show much. Oh well, here’s hoping to more scheduling errors :P
