Last night was my first night shift, and while I should of slept through the whole day to ensure I was up all night; I didn’t in favour of spending the day with my girlfriend. Nothing much interesting happened, but when she stopped in Hairhouse Warehouse to pick up some spray for her ear piercings, I decided to finally get one of the piercings I’d wanted for ages; an industrial.
It didn’t really hurt to get done apart from the pain of having a needle shoved through your flesh, but was plenty painful afterwards; the ear swelled and while I worked that night, all I could feel was my ear throbbing, but it is SO worth it. I love how it looks, despite the obvious swelling you see in the picture. My one fear is that, like my other attempts at upper-ear piercings, this might get infected; they always seem to with me. So I’m spraying it with some soothing spray for piercings to try and keep it safe, but for not it’s all touch and go.
So next up, I’m going to go for an orbital piercing; which like the industrial, involves the jewellry going through the ear twice. It’s a little more complicated because it uses a ring instead, but it’s the one I really want. The piercer checked my ear and said that having it at the top of the ear was impossible because of the way it was shaped, but it might be possible a little further down; to me that means imminent awesomeness. I cannot wait.
On a completely different note; I’m still uploading pictures to my DailyBooth account everyday (including the one above as a “bonus”). For once I’m sticking with a project more than two days!
