This entry is part 23 of 29 in the series Tumblr 30 Day Challenge

I don’t understand the question. Wait, I can google this. Be right back.

Alright, it seems no-one else doing this blog challenge quite knows either. Everyone has posted something different. Others have talked about how important it is to have them, and others have treated it like the education part of a résumé1. Because I think I’ve already talked about education and how important it is, I’ll go with the latter.

Well, I have done high school much like most people, but I dropped out at the end of the first school term of Year 12 in order to pursue a course in TAFE. It wasn’t even a great course either; just Certificate II in Information Technology. It concerned easy stuff like How To Browse The Internet and How To Mail Merge Just In Case You Forgot Since Early High School. As such I got through that certificate fairly easily.
Then of course came Certificate III. I had started IT wanting to eventually learn how to program. Of course, being I already spent time doing spread sheet and word document bullshit in the previous certificate, the fact I was given multiple books three times the thickness for Microsoft Word, Excel and Access only served to bore me completely. I tried to distract myself with the part of the course concerned with mathematics and algebra but got through it with way too much ease. Basically, I got bored and ended up stopping.

That’s pretty much all my education. Most of high school and a partial Certificate III in Information Technology. Of course, I’ve gone on t0 have jobs that have nothing to do with IT, but if I ever wanted to, I’d totally be qualified to create an awesome PowerPoint display.

  1. Wait, autocorrect is telling me BOTH of the instances of the letter ‘e’ in résumé have a little hat. Today I learned.
