Internet

We’ve gotten the majority of things over to the new house, and slept there last night. It seems there are going to be a few adjustments to make, but apart from that its a nice place.
Unpacking will be slow, but we’ve moved the hard stuff, and that’s good enough ((See how the above image is actually in context? AMAZING.)) for now.
On a down note, there’s no internet in this house yet. We’re forced to entertain ourselves through more…traditional means. Oh the horror.

At midnight tonight, I stop using my computer for an entire 7 days. I’m a little worried, since I can’t think of a single day where I don’t use it to some capacity. It’s kind of scary.
To restate what I said earlier this week, I’m going without any real use of my computer from the 1st of October until the 8th. The idea being that with this week I’ll be forced to find other avenues of entertainment, and maybe do the stuff I’m always putting off.
To be clear, I will continue using my phone, and the computer will be turned on so I can plug it in to charge. Blame Apple for not giving me a wall charger.
So this is going to be my final blog post for the next week by the looks of it. There will be two instances where I’ll still be using the internet from my phone; Twitter of course, and I might use my phone sometime in the week to post an update on this week via Tumblr, if something interesting happens to warrant it. Apart from that, my section of the cyber world will be quiet.
I hope everyone else has a great week, see you on the other side.

I checked out this post by Stilgherrian, which talks about a website which scans the internet and produces this colourful bar, which apart from adding a little spice to an otherwise text-only post, also apparently displays how the internet sees me. I know its crappy resolution but if you click on it, through the magic in the interwebs, you will see a much bigger and clearer version.
Funnily, the section for “illegal” is bigger than “legal”, but I guess I’ve always been a rebel at heart. The above of course is for “Zombie Plan”, and below is for my real name “James Clark”, which coincidently has an even bigger section for “illegal”.
The project that does this is located at http://personas.media.mit.edu/, and it’s definitely a good way to kill a few minutes.
