This was meant to be the two hundredth post here, but like last milestone, I missed it.
I have experienced a bit of a down period in relation to things to write about, which has resulted in numerous posts which are just random thoughts and connected short writings. They were fun and helped in the writers block (I thank Rubenerd for the suggestion. It helped). The themes have pretty much been posted once or twice before; I started the Sometimes series of posts a while back, and have been listing monthly top 25 songs for awhile too.
However due to lack of inspiration, the amount I’ve been posting has increased a little (I’ve posted Sometimes #2 #3 and #4 now) and started Things That Make Me A Bad Person (#1 and #2). They’re really fun to write, as short as they are. Expect more soon, I guess.
Back in the beginning of September, I hit the 150 post milestone. To celebrate, I came up with the idea for 10 Cent Charity, in which for every comment made on it by the end of this month, I would donate ten cents to Blood:Water Mission’s cause. At the time of writing this, the comments have reached around the 120 mark, and I’m making one last futile attempt to increase it before the end of October. It’s been quite fun surprisingly, and it feels good to know I’m donating to a good cause.
In other news, I also started something I’d talked about for awhile; the “girls” blog. Since I copied Rubenerd and merged all my sub-domains and the like together, the title, and home of the blog became How To Fail At Girls. You can see it, up there in the menu bar (well you can if you’re cool and reading this on the actual website instead of RSS). I’m still settling on what and how to write in there, but there’s a few pieces on it at the moment, a couple of which I’m quite happy with; the story of my first kiss, and a post about how I tend to say really stupid things to the opposite sex.
It’s a fun project.
This is post 201, and I’m still amazed at how long I’ve kept at this thing. I’m loving this.

I am writing for TechMasher.com a bit now, just writing about random technology and computer things as they happen or I suddenly take an interest in them. I’m still trying to get comfortable so I’m not entirely comfortable with one or two bits of the posts, but I’m working on it. Here’s a small list of the posts I’ve got on there now (not many, of course, but what can you do). If you could take a look, I’d appreciate it. Woot.
-
TweetDeck For The iPhone – I know I wrote a quick review here too, but the one on TechMasher was a bit more thought out, and I like it a lot better.
-
5 iPhone apps to boost productivity – I wrote this originally as a 10 apps post, where 5 would be useful apps, and 5 would be games/time wasters. It was too long, and broken into two parts. This is the first part, the second is scheduled for later today. When it does I’ll update this post with that link
-
iD Software bought by Zenimax – Found out about this as soon as I connected back to the internet earlier today. Amazing stuff. I can’t wait to see how this affects future games.

Thanks for looking at them, feel free to let me know on Twitter how much you hated them. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I honestly had no idea how to react to this posting “milestone”. It came without warning, and with a stifled giggle, has been screen capped and posted here for my enjoyment. I have a particular love for making posts of silly milestones, as per my Twitter posts, so anyone who has glimpsed my blog in the past should of expected this.
Also, this is the most posts I’ve ever done on a blog; which I take as a good sign that I’m going to be able to stick with this in the long term.

Well, it’s been 4 months of semi-regular posting on this blog (slightly longer if you include the previous incarnation of the blog), so I thought it was time to ask some questions for anyone who reads it. It’s just a simple “what do you think” questionnaire. The blog is nice, but I’m always open to criticism and comments. I’ve always been of the school of thought that the only way you’ll get it is if you seek it. So here we are. If you would could comment some answers, I will lick a car battery, or something (look at number five :P)
-
What would you classify the blog as? I’d call it personal, but I throw in reviews and all sorts of random stuff as it occurs to me. What do you think it’s about and what “genre” would you say it is?
-
What do you think of the layout? This was a simple layout that included extremely simple insertion of Adsense (waste of time?), and looked okay to me. Do you think it suits the theme (or lack of) for the blog? Any ideas of what would look better?
-
Full posts or cut up posts? Alot of blogs make their posts on the front page merely “previews”, with a clickable “more” button to see the rest of the post. While I simple display the complete posts, do you reckon it’d be better to keep going with that, or try only displaying the beginning of posts?
-
Do you have a favourite post? Simple one. Why do you like it?
-
For doing this, what do you want me to do? Lets say that, for doing this, I ask that you challenge me to do something. Something silly, stupid, serious, whatever. I’ll post evidence depending on what it is (as in photo, written, or video, something) for your viewing pleasure as proof I did it. It can be anything as long as it isn’t explicit or something that can get me arrested.
So yeah. I’m just hoping someone comes up with something interesting for number five. I do enjoy being a complete idiot.
